This Church is located in Limassol Cyprus close to Polemithkia. It was built in the fourteenth Century.

Near the Church is a cave which has muddy Holy Water of the Virgin Mary. Many Christians have been healed with this water. An English Officer stationed at Polemithkia in 1973 had severe problems with his feet, and spent much money with doctors looking for a cure, but with no luck. He heard about the Church of Karmiotissa and went there to ask for help. The Virgin Mary cured him. When he went home, he sent money to the church for its upkeep.

On the trees around the church,people hang clothes as dedications to the Virgin Mary and a sign of their love for God. A Turkish man stole some of these clothes and sold the branches of the bushes on which these clothes were hung. He gave the clothes to his children. In a few days all his family and himself were dead.

A woman whose daughter was seriously ill saw the Blessed Virgin Karmiotissa in a dream.She was told to put Hoily Water on her daughter from the Church. This she did and her daughter was cured.
